The problem of psychological adaptation of the individual is in the constant focus of attention of researchers and acts as a leading factor in the search for methods and means of psychological prevention of delinquent behavior. However, the psychological potential of studies of the characteristics of the sociopsychological adaptation of migrants in conjunction with their personal characteristics and propensity to delinquency is not fully used. The purpose of the study is to study the psychological characteristics of labor migrants with signs of maladaptation. The object of the study were labor migrants, including 50 who are characterized by delinquent behavior (bringing to account in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and 50 with law-abiding behavior. Psychodiagnostic research tools: screening questionnaire «Life Satisfaction Scale» (LSS) by N. N. Melnikova, questionnaire «Social well-being» by N. N. Melnikova, questionnaire «Scale of psychological well-being» by V. Riff, multifactorial personality questionnaire 16 PFP. Cattell (form C), questionnaire «Strategies for overcoming stressful situations» by S. Hobfall (adapted by N. V. Vodopyanova, E. A. Starchenkova).
