Abstract (English):
Introduction Quadrobing as a form of physical activity with distinctive features of external manifestation appeared relatively recently – about 25 years ago. The place of its origin is considered to be Japan. Initially, quadrobing appeared as a direction of sports training, which was based on imitation of animal movements. However, later, the followers of quadrobing had their own subculture, which changed the meaning of this activity, bringing destructive elements into it. Research methods The general scientific dialectical method of cognition of the surrounding reality was used in the work. In addition, the method of description was used; the method of logical comprehension; abstraction and generalization. Results In Russia, the popularity of quadrobing among children and adolescents increased in the spring of 2024. Young people perceived the new subculture as an opportunity for self-identification, self-expression in costumes and actions, while psychologists linked the spread of this subculture with negative socio-cultural foreign influence, as well as with the manifestation of socialization problems in children. In addition, the hobby of quadrobing without adequate physical training caused excessive injury to children, and aggression from others began to lead to isolation and a slowdown in the development of intelligence in adolescents. In response to society's rejection of this subculture, quadrobers began to commit acts that violate public order, justifying their behavior by saying that they are "animals". In this regard, in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the quadrobing subculture was proposed to be recognized as destructive, putting it on a par with "death groups", "childfree", etc., announcing the development of a bill aimed against its spread.
